What to expect
First, you'll meet with your injector to discuss your goals. They'll examine your face/body areas of concern and create a customized treatment plan. This may involve using smooth, twist and barbed threads of different sizes and lengths to target each area.
During the procedure, the threads will be placed using a fine cannula. Once the threads are in place, your injector will gently position them to create the desired lifting effect that smooths out wrinkles and tightens loose skin. They will use local anesthesia at the beginning to minimize any pain or discomfort.
The results of your threads treatment will be visible immediately, but you will most likely also experience swelling/bruising/'rippling' of the skin for the first 1-3 days. You also need to avoid strenuous exercise and exaggerated facial expressions for the first few days. The true lift and tightening results will be visible in 3-4 weeks, and final results will last 12-18 months depending on your skin's natural aging process.
Throughout your appointment(s), your injector will work closely with you to ensure that you're comfortable, and will provide all aftercare instructions and post-care products to help reduct bruising and swelling. Then, follow-up appointments will be scheduled to monitor your progress.
